When Packing For A Camping Trip you should always make sure that you know where and what time of the year you are going. If you plan on going in the summer time when it is hot, or weather you are venturing out in the winter for a few days make sure to pack for the season. - Backpack
- Sleeping Bag
(remember to buy one for the climate that you are going to be in)
- Tent
- Lighter / Matches (waterproof matches)
- Knife / Knife sharpener (a larger survival knife would be best)
- First Aid Kit
- Flashlights (extra batteries)
- All in one multi tool / Leatherman
- Fold-up Shovel
- Rain Gear
- Gloves
- Watch or Clock
- Compass
- Map or GPS
Just a few more things to know before you get ready to make your way out on your camping trip. Make sure that you leave word on where you will be going with someone. This is very important. You don’t have to be spasific, just give them a general idea of your location. Also let them know how long you plan on staying out. This will make sure that you have a backup plan in case their is a problem and you or someone in you party gets hurt. Too many time people get lost or even die because they are injured and can’t get to help in time. Be safe and have a plan. If you have a cell phone, make sure to take it with you as well. You never know if you might have a signal and can contact help.
Be kind to the outdoors. Don’t leave your trash laying around and fires unattended. Be smart and you will have a great time and leave the area clean for the next campers to come. Packing your bags for a camping trip is important. Take clothing and shoes for the terrain and climate.
